Mike Granoth
My name is Mike Granoth and I am the Owner and Lead Installer for Naugatuck Emergency Equipment, LLC. I am also the owner of PurpleLights.biz. I have been involved in warning light, siren and communications installation for about 20 years. I started out by working on my friend’s vehicles and it grew from there.
I come from a family dedicated to Public Safety. My wife, parents, maternal grandparents, and two uncles are involved in public safety from EMS, Fire-Rescue and Police.
I have over 19 years in EMS and Fire-Rescue experience. I work full-time as a Paramedic for AMR in Waterbury. I am also Firefighter with Watertown FD. I have served as a Lieutenant on Engine Company 2 and EMS-9. I am a member and Deputy Dive Team Commander for the Thomaston Fire Regional Dive Team as well. I am a member of the Connecticut Fire Equipment Mechanics Association.
I was previously a member of Naugatuck Vol. Fire Co.1 for 7 years with 3 years as Lieutenant. I was also a 12 year member of Naugatuck Ambulance, serving as Crew Chief, Lieutenant, and Safety and Training Officer.
Bob Granoth
Bob is an Installation Assistant for Naugatuck Emergency Equipment, LLC. He is also Mike’s father. His biggest responsibility is keeping Mike on task and out of trouble. He’s been helping on installs for about a few years now. He also brings a different prospective to installs and offers ideas that I might have overlooked.
Bob works for Platt Brothers in Waterbury, as a Slitter Operator. He basically takes big rolls of metal and makes them into little rolls of metal.
Bob is also an EMT-I for Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance. In addition to his duties as an EMT-I, he is also Past Chief and a Life Member of WVAA, with over 25 years of service. He must have started young. Bob still finds time to work for Lime Rock Park Emergency Services and keep up with his four grandchildren; Aidan, Sabina, Joselyn and Madelyn.
